The 2026/2027 GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders are now accepting applications. These prestigious awards support the training and development of the next generation of leaders in global health, with a focus on strengthening health systems and health-related research across Africa.

Eligibility Requirements

– Be nationals of, and resident in, a sub-Saharan African country
– Intend to return to sub-Saharan Africa upon completion of their MSc year at LSHTM
– Confirm financial need (unable to self-fund the program without this scholarship)
– Hold a first degree at either first-class or upper second-class equivalency level
– Hold an offer of admission for 2026/27 to one of LSHTM London-based intensive MSc programmes (excluding joint programmes such as MSc Global Mental Health, MSc Health Policy, Planning & Financing, MSc One Health, MSc Veterinary Epidemiology)
– Meet LSHTM minimum English language requirements by 15 June 2026
Award Details
Each scholarship will cover:
– Full tuition fees (including mandatory field trip fees)
– A tax-free stipend of GBP A?22,000 for living expenses
Application Process
Applicants must complete two steps by 16:00 (BST) on Wednesday, 04 March 2026:
Step 1:
– Submit an application for a London-based MSc programme via LSHTM Admissions Portal.
– Pay the GBP A?50 admissions application fee (required before submission).
Step 2:
– After submitting the MSc application, applicants will receive an automated email from the Scholarships Team with access to the online scholarships portal.
– Complete the scholarship application by searching for GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leadersand answering all required questions.
– Submit the application and receive confirmation via email.
Important Information
– Applicants should complete Step 1 early to avoid delays in admissions or payment processing.
– Applications must be complete (including all supplementary documents) by the deadline. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
– Scholarship decisions will be announced the week beginning 1 June 2026.
– English language proficiency evidence must be submitted by 15 June 2026, or the scholarship offer may be withdrawn.
