Applications are now open for the 2026 DW Akademie International Media Studies (IMS) Programme.
The Master's Degree program is targeted at students from around the world that want to work in a position of responsibility in journalism or the communications sector.
It especially addresses journalists-in-training, media representatives from radio, TV, online and print and communication experts.
Those interested must have completed an academic program (bachelor's degree or equivalent) and have acquired at least one year of professional experience in a media-related field after their first degree.
The program is held in English.

Scholarship Requirements
For the study program, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers a limited number of scholarships to up to 10 highly qualified applicants from developing countries.
To be eligible for one of the DAAD scholarships, you should have obtained your last university degree no longer than 6 years ago.
You will be required to submit additional documents for a DAAD scholarship. Please find the additional documents listed under application requirements on the DAAD's website.
